Our Story - Josi & Jon

Welcome to Maineiac Munchies, our online candy and snack store! We’re Josi and Jon, lifelong best friends turned partners in life and business. Growing up in the beautiful state of Maine, our journey began in elementary school, blossomed into a deep friendship in middle school, and by 16, we were inseparable. Now, at 42, we have overcome significant challenges together and are focused on building a brighter future.

After years of struggling with addiction, we made the decision to turn our lives around and commit to recovery. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has taught us the value of resilience, gratitude, and living with purpose. Along the way, Jon has faced ongoing health challenges, reinforcing our belief that life is precious and every moment counts.

We launched Maineiac Munchies with a clear goal: to create a sustainable future that allows Jon to transition from physically demanding work while giving us the opportunity to share our passion for spreading joy and positivity. The name "Maineiac" is a playful nod to our fellow Mainers, often affectionately called "Maine-iacs," reflecting our deep connection to our home state. Candy and snacks have a way of bringing people together, and we hope our store does just that.

We are still finding our path through the tricky maze we call life, but we are determined to navigate it the best and happiest we can. More than anything, we hope that by sharing our testimony—our struggles, mistakes, and victories—we can inspire and uplift others who may feel lost or hopeless. No matter how difficult the road, there is always a path forward.
